Little Treasures

When Madison and Reece were younger, I used to go to the beach 3/4 times a week. Madison and I would just sit and play in the sand. Reece would mostly just sit and my lap and chew on my arm. I don't go nearly enough anymore. Now, my kids would much rather go and get wet and I hate wet, sandy kids in the car.
This evening we took a little jaunt over to our little beach. Yes, OUR. It feels like it is my spot. It's seldom busy and I usually never see more than 1 or 2 people there.
We flew the kite or at least tried to fly the kite (we need some new dollar store kites). The kids dug around in the sand. Reece found a big sea log and tried to get it to stand up. It was just fun to hang out with the kids and laugh at the funny things they tried to do.
Sometimes I love where I live.

How fun! I love those little family days! We're going to be coming up your way in March and will be renting a beach house in Tierra del Mar for a couple of days! Can't wait for that! It will be fun to "play rich" in an oceanside beach house for a little while. The weather will probably decide to be rainy then, though. It would figure. :)

Treasure the good times! Our babies are growing up way too darn fast! I love the beach. Darin and I was just talking yesterday about the beach and how Austin has never been yet. We need to go soon, too!

I LOVE that picture you have up of the kids holding their beach treasures. It is so wonderful when the Lord gives us that special place out in His creation to enjoy with our family! What a great memory maker for your kids
